Dr. Monica Patel is one of the doctors featured on Married to Medicine Houston. Of the five female stars, she is the one and only single woman — much to her chagrin. In the sneak peek of the series premiere, Monica is seen recklessly driving a golf cart with her boyfriend Imad Khalil in the passenger seat, yelling at him to tell her that he will marry her. In another scene, the “quadruple board certified cardiologist” tells Imad he has hurt her feelings because “you’re not giving me what I want.”
The idea that you shouldn’t force someone into marrying you doesn’t seem to ring true to Monica. Little is known about Imad. According to his Facebook page (or at least the one registered in his name), he went to Tom C. Clark High School in San Antonio and studied at Harvard and is currently self-employed. And there’s no trail from Monica to Imad on social media. She doesn’t follow him on Twitter and there isn’t one photo of the couple together — and Monica posts a lot of photos of her with her friends and family. There’s even one of her with Hillary Clinton (see below). Married to Medicine Houston airs Fridays at 9pm on Bravo.
