In the Hallmark Channel movie A December Bride, Layla O’Reilly is dreading her cousin’s winter wedding. Her cousin is marrying Layla’s ex-fiance. Layla goes to the wedding with Seth Murphy (Daniel Lissing), the one who introduced the bride and groom,. Seth gets carried away at the wedding and announces that he and Layla are engaged. While keeping up the pretense, they fall in love for real.
Layla is portrayed by Jessica Lowndes. The Canadian-born actress is known for her roles on 90210 (Adrianna Tate-Duncan), Greek (Mandi) and in the Lifetime movie A Deadly Adoption with Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig (as the sexy pregnant woman). Lowndes is also recognized for her roles in the films The Prince (Angela) with Bruce Willis, Altitude (Sara), and Autopsy (Emily), among others. A December Bride premieres on Sunday, November 20 at 8pm on Hallmark.
