In the Secrets and Lies episode ‘The Parent’, while Eric Warner (Michael Ealy) gets a strange visit at his office from someone connected to his late wife Kate (and his suspicious brother Patrick), Detective Cornell (Juliette Lewis) is blindsided when her ex-husband Dr. Ethan Barrett shows up and delivers shocking news.
Ethan is portrayed by Jake Weber. The Englishman is known for his roles on Hell on Wheels (John Campbell), Tyrant (Jimmy Timmons), The Following (Micah), and Medium (as husband Joe Dubois, opposite Patricia Arquette), among others. Weber is also well recognized for his role as Drew in Meet Joe Black opposite Brad Pitt. Secrets and Lies airs Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
