The Odd Couple episode ‘Taffy Days’ is a tribute to the original creator of the show, Garry Marshall. Marshall not only created the original, he also recently played Oscar Madison’s (Matthew Perry) father Walter on the new show before passing away at the age of 81. Actors from the TV legend’s previous sitcoms including Laverne & Shirley, Happy Days, and Mork & Mindy make cameo appearances in the ‘Taffy Days’ episode as Oscar scatters his father’s ashes.

Arnette is portrayed by Pam Dawber. She’s best known for her role as Mindy on Garry Marshall’s smash it Mork & Mindy opposite the late great Robin Williams. She later starred in My Sister Sam (Sam) and was the voice of Perdy in the animated series 101 Dalmatians: The Series. Before Williams passed away, Dawber appeared on two episodes of his TV series The Crazy Ones (as Williams’ short-term love interest Lily) in 2014. P.S.
