The Killing Season is a new docu-series on A&E that follows filmmakers Josh Zeman and Rachel Mills as they set out to find a serial killer on Long Island. Ten murder victims were discovered along Ocean Parkway, a desolate road near Gilgo Beach. The first four victims were found in December 2010; six more were found in March 2011. All of the victims are believed to be connected to the sex trade (they advertised their services on Craigslist). Zeman and Mills work with amateur sleuths and profilers including Peter Brendt who believes there are two active serial killers responsible for the ten bodies.
In December 2015, on the fifth year anniversary of the discovery of the first four bodies, the Suffolk County Police Department announced that the had FBI joined the investigation. The Killing Season premieres on Saturday November 12 at 9pm on A&E.
