Teen Mom OG stars Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra are getting their on spin-off, Teen Mom: Reunited. Similar to the formula of Catfish: The TV Show (also on MTV), Catelynn and Tyler travel across the country to help young adopted people meet their birth parents. Like Catfish‘s Nev Schulman and Max Joseph, Catelynn and Tyler act as the go-betweens for the two parties and that often means having to deliver heartbreaking news. Some birth parents don’t want to meet. Some expectations are just too high.
In the trailer for Teen Mom Reunited, Tyler tells his wife Catelynn, “If me and you were meant to do something, it’s this.” Catelynn and Tyler gave up their daughter Carly seven years ago, when they were 16. Now that they’re married and have a family of their own, they have sent visitation requests to Carly’s parents but Catelynn and Tyler’s requests have not been met recently. Teen Mom Reunited premiers December 5 at 10pm on MTV.
