In the Teen Mom OG episode ‘Ginger’s Last Binger,’ while Farrah Abraham and her mother Debra bring up old frustrations and get into a big fight, Amber Portwood and her fiance Matt Baier are in New York being interviewed by a blogger named Matt. Matt asks Matt Baier if there are any misconceptions about his sobriety. “I did absolutely exaggerate the length of my sobriety…even with her when I first met her (Amber).” He explains, “I tried to get sober. I had relapsed a few times.” Amber admits, ‘When we got together, he wasn’t sober.”
Amber takes credit for getting him sober. “I took those f—king pills, poured them down the toilet and threw it at him.” She told Matt at the time, “You will not being doing this s—t if you’re with me.” Teen Mom OG airs Mondays at 9pm on Bravo.
