In the Married to Medicine: Houston episode ‘Sorry Not Sorry’, while Monica tries to convince Rachel to patch things up with socialite Cindi Rose, plastic surgeon Erika Sato joins her husband Derek and his family for Easter brunch at a restaurant. As Derek says, ‘We’re a very traditional, very conservative family and we’re proud of that.” Before eating, they hold hands and say grace. Derek’s mother says, ‘I don’t think you know how much it meant to me to be able to worship together this morning.” Over brunch, the subject of grandbabies comes up.
Erika says: “We’ve decided we want another year before we have a baby.” She adds, “We went to the fertility doctor so that we could see what was going on. I think we’re going to freeze an embryo.” No one says a word. Erika explains: ‘They’ll take my egg and his [Derek’s] sperm and make the baby outside like in a test tube. We’re going to freeze the baby for one year and then get a surrogate.” Married to Medicine Houston airs Fridays at 9pm on Bravo.
