Ana Navarro worked to elect John McCain in 2008. The Republican strategist served as McCain’s national Hispanic campaign chairwoman when the Arizona senator lost to the surging Barack Obama in the wake of heavy Bush administration fallout in the GOP. An early supporter of Jeb Bush’s campaign, Navarro — like many traditional Republicans — has had nowhere to turn.
Because Trump offered a perfect storm of insults for Navarro. He insulted Hispanics. He insulted women. And he insulted war hero John McCain (“I like [guys] who don’t get captured”). Navarro simply had to vote against Donald Trump, as she expressed in her op-ed at CNN.
