The new crime drama Eyewitness starts with two teenage boys, Philip (Tyler Young) and Lukas (James Paxton), who while stealing a kiss witness a murder. They don’t report the murder because they’re scared of being outed. To make the murder more interesting, Philip’s foster mother, Helen Torrance, is the sheriff of the town who’s now investigating the murder.
Helen Torrance is portrayed by Julianne Nicholson. She’s known for her roles on The Red Road (Jean Jensen), Masters of Sex (Dr. Lillian DePaul), Boardwalk Empire (AUSA Esther Randolph), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (Megan Wheeler), Conviction (Christina Finn), and Ally McBeal (with Gil Bellows who plays Gabe on Eyewitness!), among others. Nicholson is also recognized for her roles in the films Black Mass (Marianne Connolly), August: Osage County (Ivy Weston), and Kinsey (Alice Martin). Eyewitness airs Sundays at 10pm on USA.
