In the Fresh Off the Boat episode ‘Breaking Chains’, while Eddie (Hudson Yang) shows his brother Emery (Forrest Wheeler) how to fool teachers into giving them special privileges, their mother Jessica (Constance Wu) gets upset when Louis (Randall Park) hires housekeeper Mary.
Housekeeper Mary is portrayed by Melanie Hutsell. She’s known for her various roles on Saturday Night Live including Jan Brady (see video below) and Tori Spelling (1991-1994), and more recently as Jocelyn on Amazon’s Transparent. Hutsell also had a funny scene in Bridesmaids as Carol, Kristen Wiig’s tennis partner. Fresh off the Boat airs Tuesdays at 9pm on ABC.
