The new TV drama Notorious is about the at-times dubious relationship between criminal law and the media. In the pilot, we see TV news producer Julia George working in cahoots with a high-powered attorney Jake Gregorian (Daniel Sunjata). His client is a billionaire playboy who may or may not have been involved in a hit-and-run. Whether he’s innocent or not doesn’t matter to Julia. All she cares about is getting the exclusive footage of the billionaire surrendering to the cops. And she gets it.
Julia George is portrayed by Piper Perabo. She’s known for her role as Annie Walker on Covert Affairs (Annie Walker), and in the films Cheaper by the Dozen (Nora Baker), The Prestige with Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman (Julia McCullough), and Coyote Ugly (Violet Sanford), among others. Notorious airs Thursdays at 9pm on ABC.
