The Syfy movie The Crooked Man is about a demonic figure that comes out when a particular nursery rhyme is sung. At a 12-year-old’s slumber party, after one girl named Olivia (Angelique Rivera) sings the song, her friend Jill is stabbed to death. Olivia spends the next six years in a psychiatric hospital. When released, she returns to town and so does The Crooked Man. Now he’s coming after all of the girls (now women) who were at the slumber party. “The song that kills you if you sing it” was created by a man named Milo who now says The Crooked Man cannot be stopped.
Milo is portrayed by Michael Jai White. He’s known for his roles on Arrow (Ben Turner aka Bronze Tiger), For Better or Worse (Marcus Williams), and Wonderland (Dr. Derrick Hatcher), among others. White is also recognized for his roles in the films Blood and Bone (Isaiah Bone), The Dark Knight (Gambol), Spawn (Al Simmons aka Spawn), and Undisputed 2 (George Chambers). The Crooked Man will premiere on Saturday, October 1 at 9pm on Syfy.
