The new ABC sitcom Speechless is about the Dimeo family. Husband Jimmy and wife Maya (Minnie Driver) always want to do what’s best for their children, particularly for their eldest JJ (Micah Fowler) who has cerebral palsy. The family has moved around a lot in search of the perfect school and caregivers but it hasn’t been easy. In the pilot, the kids like their new school but they need to convince their parents to stay.
Jimmy Dimeo is portrayed by John Ross Bowie. He’s known for his roles on The Big Bang Theory (annoying plasma physicist Barry Kripke), Chasing Life (Paul Peters), Episodes (Psychiatrist), Retired at 35 (Jared), House of Lies (Spalding Winter), Childrens Hospital (Dr. Max von Sydow), and Reno 911! (Pageant Dad), among many others. Bowie got his big break on the TV series Upright Citizens Brigade. Speechless airs Wednesdays at 8:30pm on ABC.
