The Lifetime movie Sister Cities, based on the play by Colette Freedman, is about four estranged sisters. Named after cities — Carolina, Baltimore, Dallas, and Austin — they reunite after their mother (Jacki Weaver) seemingly commits suicide. Each woman has her own hangups including sister Dallas who is fixated with order. When confronted by the messiness of her family, she loses it.

Dallas Baxter is portrayed by Michelle Trachtenberg. The New York native is known for her roles on Gossip Girl (Georgina Sparks), Weeds (Emma Karlin), Mercy (Nurse Chloe Payne), Six Feet Under (Celeste), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Dawn Summers), and The Adventures of Pete & Peter (Nona Mecklenberg), among others. Trachtenberg is also recognized for her roles in the films Harriet the Spy (Harriet M. Welsch), Inspector Gadget (Penny), and 17 Again (Maggie). Sister Cities premieres on Lifetime on Saturday, September 17 at 8pm.
