The Starz TV series Survivor’s Remorse follows young professional basketball player Cam Calloway (Jessie T. Usher). When he signs a contract to play in Atlanta, his family follows and proves to be a liability. His Uncle Julius (Mike Epps) can’t get along with the neighbors and his mother Cassie overshares memories from Cam’s childhood that shouldn’t be broadcast. To name just two incidents.
Cassie Calloway is portrayed by Tichina Arnold. She’s known for her roles on Happily Divorced (Judi Mann), Everybody Hates Chris (Chris’ mother Rochelle), and Martin (Martin’s nemesis Pam), among others. Fun fact about Arnold: She was in the 1986 musical film Little Shop of Horrors (Crystal) with future Martin co-star Tisha Campbell-Martin. Survivor’s Remorse airs Sundays at 10pm on Starz.
