Season 23 of Dancing with the Stars features 13 celebrity contestants. There are reality TV stars (Little Women’s Terra Jole), rappers (Vanilla Ice), child stars (Maureen McCormick aka Marcia Brady), and a handful of athletes including recent Olympic medalists swimmer Ryan Lochte and gymnast Laurie Hernandez, among others. Another athlete on the dance floor is wide receiver Calvin Johnson, Jr., who recently retired from the NFL’s Detroit Lions where he played his entire career (2007-2015).

Johnson, who will compete with former Mirrorball Trophy winner Witney Carson, is excited about his chances on DWTS (hey, Hall of Fame 49ers wide receiver Jerry Rice won) and about meeting all the other dancing celebrities. Days before the premiere, he posted a photo of himself with Terra Jole and Grammy Award winner Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, also competing on season 23. But Johnson warned DWTS fans: “Guys do not call him Babyface it’s Kenny.” Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
