On the Teen Mom OG episode ‘Hello, Goodbye,’ while Catelynn Lowell Baltierra says goodbye to her family before heading off to a rehab center for her anxiety and depression, Amber Portwood is surprised by her fiance Matt Baier. He throws Amber a surprise birthday party (she’s 26). Amber catches on the minute she pulls into the crowded parking lot but feigns surprise for the crowd and says, “All the people I love are here.” But wait, there’s more!
Matt then calls in a surprise guest. In walks Nicole, Amber’s cellmate. (Amber was released from jail in 2013 after serving 17 months of her five-year sentence related to a felony drug charge and probation violatation.) At the surprise party, Nicole walks in with a dozen of white roses and Amber starts crying. After a long embrace, they pull back and tell each other how beautiful they look. They embrace again, “Oh my god, we made it, right? We’re the only ones.” Teen Mom OG airs Mondays at 9pm on MTV.
