The TV movie Wild Oats is about a widow named Eva (Shirley MacLaine) and her best friend Maddie (Jessica Lange). When Eva receives a life insurance check made out for $5 million instead of $50,000, she cashes it and brings Maddie to Europe — where they live it up, of course. Eva’s daughter (Demi Moore) isn’t happy about the situation, especially when the insurance company comes looking for her mother.
Fun fact: all three of the leading ladies have starred in films with Jack Nicholson.

- Nicholson’s astronaut character in Terms of Endearment wooed Shirley MacLaine.

While the charming Billy Connolly in Wild Oats has yet to work with Nicholson, he does live next door to him in Los Angeles. Wild Oats makes its premiere on Lifetime on Monday, August 22 at 10pm.
