The TV movie Wild Oats is about a recent widow Eva who receives a life insurance check for $5 million dollars. It’s a mistake (a big one) but instead of pointing out the error, Eva and her best friend Maddie (Jessica Lange) cash the check, skip town and live it up in Spain. Eva’s daughter (Demi Moore) does not approve and eventually the insurance company figures out that they’ve made a mistake, but will it be too late?

Eva is portrayed by Shirley MacLaine. The 82-year-old Oscar winning actress is known for her wry roles in the films The Apartment (Fran), Terms of Endearment (Aurora), Being There (Eve), Guarding Tess (Tess), Postcards from the Edge (Doris), and Steel Magnolias (Ouiser), among many others. Wild Oats makes its premiere on Lifetime on Monday, August 22 at 10pm.
