In the TV movie Wild Oats, widow Eva (Shirley MacLaine) and her best friend Maddie (Jessica Lange) cash in a $5 million insurance check. It was only supposed to be $50,000, but Eva and Maddie figure why not live it up. Eva’s daughter (Demi Moore) is shocked to discover that her mother would do such a thing. And then she gets a visit from an insurance agent named Vespucci who’s determined to track Eva down.

Vespucci is portrayed by Howard Hesseman. The veteran actor is known for his roles on WKRP in Cincinnati (Dr. Johnny Fever), Head of the Class (Charlie Moore), One Day at a Time (Sam Royer), Soap (Mr. Franklin), Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman (Dr. Robert Williams), and more recently Boston Legal (Judge Robert Thompson) and That ‘70s Show (Max), among others. Wild Oats makes its premiere on Lifetime on Monday, August 22 at 10pm.
