There are some familiar faces — Ray J and Princess — and some new faces on the third season of Love & Hip Hop Hollywood. While rapper Fetty Wap joins the cast with Masika Kalysha, the mother of his baby daughter Khari, another artist makes the scene. Safaree Samuels is the 34-year-old from Brooklyn (of Jamaican descent) who is bitter about his past relationship. While he won’t say her name on camera, he’s referring to his ex, Nicki Minaj.

Safaree says he’s bitter “because for the most part, that [his relationship with Minaj] is what a lot of people connect me to.” He explains, “There are certain people who won’t work with me because they don’t want to look like they’re choosing sides.” He considers Love & Hip Hop Hollywood a clean slate where he will “try to separate myself from that.” Love & Hip Hop Hollywood airs Mondays at 8pm on VH1.
