CBS will air its one-hour special A Football Life which will look at the life and career of former NFL quarterback Brett Favre. Favre was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio on August 6. Favre had a lot of people to thank for getting him into the Hall of Fame — including his wife of 20 years, Deanna Favre. He asked his wife to present him at the induction ceremony.

Deanna and Brett were high school sweethearts in Kiln, Mississippi. At the age of 20, Deanna became pregnant and gave birth to Favre’s daughter Brittany in 1989. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1994, she moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin to live with Favre. It was a difficult time in their lives as Brett later admitted to having an addiction to Vicodin. While recovering, he proposed to Deanna. They married in 1996. In 1999, they had a second daughter, Breleigh Ann. In 2004, at the age of 35, Deanna was diagnosed with breast cancer. She made a complete recovery and is now CEO of Favre 4 Hope Foundation. In 2010, Brett and Deanna became grandparents for the first time; daughter Brittany, 27, is mother to two boys. Both Favres have a lot to be thankful for. A Football Life airs Saturday, August 3 at 8pm on CBS.
