The Season 3 premiere episode of Return to Amish is called “Judgment Day” for a good reason. When Sabrina Hill returns and visits Abe and Rebecca, she’s not met with open arms. And then there’s Moma Mary Schmucker who visits Kate Stoltz who’s living as an English in New York City. While in the Big Apple, Kate encourages Mary to breaks the Amish rule of getting her haircut. “It’s a big step for Mary,” Kate says. “Going against the church rules is going against everything you’ve been taught you’re entire life.”
Kate doesn’t regret leaving the Amish life. She’s excelling in her studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT); she was just added to the Dean’s List. But she does regret doing reality television. Two days before the Season 3 premiere of Return to Amish, Kate wrote: “Doing a reality show was one of the worst decisions I made in my life. Everything on the show is so edited and out of context.” Return to Amish airs Sundays at 9pm on TLC.

Being on a reality show is like overhearing people talk about you, and they have their information all wrong… And you can’t do anything
