In the MasterChef episode “Top 17 Compete,” celebrity Chef Aarón Sánchez visits the kitchen set. The Top 17 cooks compete using Sánchez’s favorite ingredients in a 60-minute mystery-box challenge. The winner of the challenge will be given immunity from the next elimination. MasterChef Season 6 winner Claudia Sandoval will also make an appearance.

Chef Aarón Sánchez is the executive chef and part-owner of the Mexican restaurants Johnny Sanchez in New Orleans and Baltimore. The 40-year-old El Paso native is the co-star of Food Network’s Chopped and host of Cooking Channel’s Taco Trip. Fun fact about Sanchez: He has a twin brother Rodrigo who is an attorney in Manhattan. Sanchez will appear on MasterChef, which airs Wednesdays at 8pm on FOX, on June 29, July 6 and July 13.
