The six-part TV series Greatest Hits will feature the famous R&B, funk, soul band Kool & The Gang. On the show, they’ll perform their 1980 hit “Celebration” which no one on the planet can avoid hearing at a party with a dance floor. Four of the original members of the band — George Brown, Robert “Kool” Bell, Dennis Thomas, and Ronald Bell — are still swinging.
According to News Pointer, their latest single, “Sexy”, will be released in July, and they’re going to publish a book in 2017. The working title is: Hollywood Swingers: The Kool and the Gang Story. Check out their summer tour here. Greatest Hits: 1980-1985 will air Thursday, June 30 at 9pm on ABC.
