In the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode “Intersecting Lives,” a number of female prison inmates make accusations of sexual assault (in and out of prison) against corrections officer Gary Munson. After the SVU detectives arrest him, Munson’s union targets the SVU squad and ADA Barba (Raul Esparza). On the court steps, Barba tells Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay): “Someone just threatened to kill me.”

Gary Munson is portrayed by Brad Garrett. He’s best known for his role as Robert Barone on Everyone Loves Raymond. Since then he’s starred in ‘Til Death (Eddie Stark), How to Live with Your Parents (Max Green), The Crazy Ones (Gordon Lewis), and Fargo (Joe Bulo), among others. In addition to his acting talent, Garrett is known for his height (6’8 1/2”) and distinctive voice. He voiced Bloat in Finding Nemo and Gusteau in Ratatouille.
