In The Catch episode “The Package,” while Sophie (Elvy Yost) asks the AVI team to help her get her friend out of a really bad contract, con man Ben (Peter Krause) takes on a tricky job. Rhys (John Simm) wants Ben to steal “a package” and deliver it to his hotel. The package is a person — a woman named Leah Wells who’s in the custody of the FBI. Even though Ben realizes “stealing a person is called abduction” and he doesn’t consider himself a kidnapper, he goes for it.
Leah Wells is portrayed by Nia Vardalos. She’s known for her role as Toula in the My Big Fat Greek Wedding movies and for her role as Minonna Efron on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, among others. Fun fact about Vardalos: She’s married to actor Ian Gomez (Cougar Town, The Drew Carey Show, and My Big Fat Greek Wedding). The Catch airs Thursdays at 10pm on CBS.
