On The Real Housewives of New York City episode “Tipsying Point,” while Carole Radziwill hosts a psychic session where tensions rise between Dorinda Medley and Ramona Singer, later at Sonja Morgan’s birthday party, the guest of honor announces her latest business venture. Word is Sonja is planning to open her own restaurant in her Upper East Side neighborhood and she’s said to like the name Tipsy. And she plans to document the experience on reality TV — like Lisa Vanderpump of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and her spinoff show, Pump Rules, which is set in her restaurant SUR.
No doubt the RHONYC ladies will voice their opinions about Sonja opening a restaurant, especially after witnessing her past business endeavors. In 2015 alone, Sonja launched her clothing line, Sonja Morgan New York and her podcast, Sonja in the City. (The podcast is named after her event planning company.) Learn more at the Sonja in the City website. If Sonja’s new plan goes forward and the restaurant is slated for the Upper East Side, that means somewhere between 59th Street and 96th Street, and between Fifth Avenue and the East River. Look for it to be closer to 59th and Fifth than 96th and the river. The Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesdays at 9pm on Bravo.
