Laverne Cox is crushing the Internet for her inimitable personification of Frank N Furter in Fox’s remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show — and people have only seen 30 seconds of it. Cox is on screen for less than half of that, but as Buzzfeed’s Jarett Wieselman says: “Just saw three wordless seconds of Laverne Cox performing in ‘Rocky Horror’ and I have been changed for the better.” This is going to be some Halloween treat — with plenty of tricks.
Cox herself posted a pic from the set that shows just how much she stands out. Pictured (below) with original Janet, Susan Sarandon, and remake Janet, Victoria Justice, Cox says she looks “super out of place” in the pic but that it was “lovely.” If Cox has accomplished one thing in particular with her performing success and powerful LGBT advocacy, it’s to put those two feelings together more often and more perfectly. Everyone always feels a little out of place — even those who look like they fit right in. They should also, with Cox as a shining example, feel lovely about it. The reunion of old and new Rocky Horror Janets warmed her heart, Cox wrote.
