Thommy Ten and Amelie van Tass are the twentysomething Austrian mentalists known as The Clairvoyants. They are auditioning on Season 11 of America’s Got Talent. For their performance, they ask AGT judge Heidi Klum to come on stage and to bring her purse. While Heidi decides on an object to give them from her purse, Thommy blindfolds Amelie who is sitting on a giant swing. Amelie announces that it is lipstick, and the number of the shade. She proceeds to “see” objects in the audience and can “read” the expiration date on Howie Mandel’s eye drop bottle.

During an interview in Australia (where they performed with The Illusionists at the Sydney Opera House), Amelie said their audiences differ from country to country. “American people are so ‘wow’ with everything and they want to be part of the act. In Europe, people are a little more shy. In Australia they are more skeptical, which is very interesting for us.” America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
