In a two-hour Elementary special, a mysterious wounded woman named Lin Wen shows up on Holmes’ (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson’s (Lucy Liu) doorstep saying her life is in danger. She claims to be a realtor who knew Sherlock’s brother Mycroft. When Holmes and Watson ask why she didn’t go to the police, she says they ask too many questions. Watson finds the woman’s story dubious.
Lin Wen is portrayed by Samantha Quan. The Canadian-born actress has appeared on dozens of TV shows including on NCIS (Amy Lyndon), Suburgatory (Candi), The Mentalist (Megan Parker), CSI: Miami (Jane Bartlett), Grey’s Anatomy (Shelly Boden), The Closer and Medium, among others. Quan is also recognized for her roles in the films How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (Lori) and 4 Wedding Planners (Tina). Elementary usually airs Sundays at 10pm. On April 10, CBS will air two new episodes back to back at 9pm and 10pm.
