In the Criminal Minds episode “Devil’s Backbone,” the BAU enters into a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with convicted serial killer Antonia Slade. From her Virginia prison cell, Slade says she knows that two boys who were kidnapped several years ago are still alive. Of course, she wants something in return. But can the BAU trust Slade to provide their location?
Antonia Slade is portrayed by Frances Fisher. She’s best known for her roles in the films Unforgiven (Strawberry Alice), Titanic (Ruth Dewitt Bukater, Kate Winslet’s mother), and House of Sand and Fog, among others. She recently appeared on Masters of Sex as Virginia Johnson’s mother. Fisher is the mother of 22-year-old actress Francesca Eastwood, daughter of Clint Eastwood. Criminal Minds airs Wednesdays at 9pm on CBS.
