In the TV movie The Stepchild, Ashley Bennett is trying to move on with her life after a home invasion that claimed the life of her father and injured her stepmother, Beth (Lauren Holly). Struggling to recover from the physical and emotional injuries, Ashley doesn’t trust many people, particularly her father’s dubious friend/business partner, John (Paul Johansson), who’s now living with her and her stepmother.
Ashley is portrayed by Sarah Fisher. The Canadian-born actress is best known for her role as Becky Baker on Degrassi: The Next Generation and Degrassi TV. Fisher will star in the 2017 romantic film Kiss and Cry, based on the story of figure skater and singer Carley Allison. The Stepchild premieres on March 12 at 8pm on Lifetime. It will air again on March 13 at 12am and 4pm, and on March 19 at 10pm.
