It’s St. Patrick’s Day, so that means Guinness, shamrocks, and leprechauns. Also, leprechaun porn. Adult website Pornhub has once again taken the nation’s pulse through what, ahem, entertainment, people are looking for online. Searches for ‘leprechaun porn’ are up by an astonishing 8000% today. I know, now you have an image in your mind that you can’t quite erase, no matter how hard you try. My apologies, have a bowl of Lucky Charms or watch Darby O’Gill and the Little People, and hopefully that will restore your idea of what the faery folk should be like (although, to be fair, leprechauns traditionally are not the lovable tricksters of Hollywood or General Mills’s imaginations.)
As well as movies involving, er, pots of gold, people today are also interested in all things Irish. “Our statisticians found that searches containing ‘Irish’ went up an astounding 650% on March 17, 2015 compared to daily averages. We also found that searches containing either ‘luck’ or ‘lucky’ were up over 200% that day,” reports Pornhub Insights. If it’s all the same to you, I’ll take their word for it.
