Lee Jean Shakes Off Ed Sheeran on ‘American Idol’

Lee Jean is the teenager from South Carolina competing on the fifteenth and final season of American Idol. Lee Jean loves Ed Sheeran. Jean has performed a number of Sheeran’s songs on Idol and he’s made it to the Top 10 doing so. Now he’s vying for the Top 8 and he wants “to be me.”

Jean’s performance of the Kings of Leon song “Use Somebody” was energetic. “I like that [song] choice for you,” said judge JLo. “I think there’s more voice in you than you know,” she added. Harry Connick Jr. agreed. “It’s nice to watch you grow, man.” Keith Urban disagreed about the song choice but said, “I loved the fact you tried something different. You’re stretching out.” American Idol airs Thursdays at 8pm on FOX.
