The FOX drama Empire, which was nominated for a Golden Globe, has been renewed for Season 3. Season 2 will continue on March 30 at 9pm on FOX. To help spread the word about the show’s return, singing stars Jussie Smollett (Jamal Lyon) and Bryshere Gray aka Yazz (Hakeem Lyon) are performing together on American Idol on March 17 at 8pm.
What to expect this Spring on Empire? While big brother Andre (Trai Byers) wants to heal the family, Hakeem and the rest of the Lyons will continue to fight over the kingdom. As Hakeem sings (below): “Had my eyes on the throne since I came to this earth.” The Empire battle begins anew in the Wednesday night 9pm slot on FOX on March 30.
