On the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode “Star-Struck Victims,” a young woman named Kristi Cryer accuses famous TV actor Bobby DiCecco (portrayed by Craig Bierko) of rape. DiCecco is arrested but the charges are dropped due to lack of evidence. As in all Law & Order: SVU episodes, there is a twist. NYPD Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) doesn’t know if Cryer is crying wolf or not, meanwhile Detective Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) takes matters into her own hands.
Kristi Cryer is portrayed by Vivien Cardone. She’s best known for her roles on One Life to Live (Michelle) and Everwood (Delia Brown). Fun fact: Like Craig Bierko (who plays DiCecco in this Law & Order: SVU episode), Cardone has also worked with Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe. Bierko was Crowe’s boxing opponent in Cinderella Man. Cardone was Crowe’s niece Marcee in A Beautiful Mind
. Law & Order: SVU airs Wednesdays at 9pm on NBC.
