Jenn Blosil is one of the 13 young women who have made it to the Top 24 on the final season of American Idol. The 23-year-old returned to Utah to talk with FOX 13’s Good Day Utah where she said she’s never experienced so much “nerves.” When asked to dish about her audition she said, “I must admit, I broke down in the bathroom and cried and said, ‘What am I doing here, everyone is so good!’”
Blosil also revealed that it’s difficult to “get out of your own head” to do your best. “I deserve to be here, too,” she convinced herself. When asked about all the social media feedback, she says she doesn’t read the comments. She’s got a special story she likes to consult instead. “I like the book You Are Special where the girl doesn’t receive any stars or dots.” Blosil explains, “She stays centered by going to her maker.” Prayer is a big part of Blosil’s life and helps her stay focused. The hosts of FOX 13 Salt Lake City liked her answer. “My parents taught me well,” Blosil says. American Idol airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8pm on FOX.
