Curtis Lovelace is the former Illinois prosecutor who is charged with murdering his first wife, Cory Lovelace. On Valentine’s Day 2006, Curtis says he dropped three of their four children off at school and then when he returned home, he found Cory dead in their bed. The autopsy ruled the cause of her death as “undetermined.” In 2013, a new detective reopened the case. He believes Curtis Lovelace suffocated his wife to death with a pillow. Lovelace’s first trial resulted in a hung jury. Lovelace’s second trial is set for May 31, 2016.
