In the psychological thriller Lila and Eve, single mother Lila (Viola Davis) is grieving the death — the murder — of her son who was shot in a drive-by. At a support group for bereaved mothers, Lila meets Eve (Jennifer Lopez) who becomes Lila’s mentor. When Lila isn’t satisfied with the progress by the police, particularly from Detective Holliston, she and Eve take matters into their own hands.
