Richard Hatch is best known for being the first winner of the reality TV show Survivor. He won $1 million and then served time in jail for tax evasion and then more time for a probation violation. In 2013, TV Guide included him in its list of “The 60 Nastiest Villains of All Time.” The 54-year-old is now returning to reality TV as one of the 16 contestants on Season 17 of The Biggest Loser: Temptation Nation. He will be partnered with The Voice‘s Season 2 semifinalist Erin Willett.
Hatch says his biggest motivation for going on The Biggest Loser is his husband of ten years, Emiliano Cabral. Hatch, now a father of 3, weighs 314 pounds and suffers from high blood pressure, high cholesterol and pre-diabetes. Hatch says, “I look forward to living less stressfully after losing the weight.” The Biggest Loser airs Mondays at 9pm on NBC.
