The Paintbrush Cover is a plastic cover that holds wet paintbrushes and keeps them wet for weeks. It saves painters a lot of time (cleaning up paint brushes is a drag) and money (you can reuse the brush over and over). Sal DePaola and his cousin John DePaola and their friend Anthony Caputo went on Shark Tank to pitch The Paintbrush Cover and landed a deal with the Queen of QVC Lori Greiner. They were asking for $50k for 10% and got $200k for 20%….oh, and a spot on QVC.

Since Shark Tank, they’ve made deals with Home Depot, Ace Hardware, True Value and Sherwin-Williams. They’ve also extended the product line to including the Roller Cover. In 2015, Sal – a Staten Island Firefighter – was featured in the 2015 Official FDNY Calendar of Heroes. DePaola and partners will be featured on Beyond the Tank which airs Thursdays at 8pm on ABC.
