On the Chrisley Knows Best episode “Hometown Hero,” the Chrisleys head to the family lake house. It’s located in the town of Westminster, South Carolina where Todd grew up. “It’s my safe haven,” says Todd. The small town of Westminter (population 2,399) is known for its apple orchards and being host of the annual South Carolina Apple Festival (the first two weeks of September). The town also celebrates Mayberry Days – a two-day event in May where everyone in town dresses up and acts like the characters from the 1960s sitcom The Andy Griffith Show

While in Westminster, Todd thinks it’s a good idea to introduce the kids to some of his old childhood friends. That idea backfires. Instead of learning more about the history of the town, the kids “discover some useful dirt about their dad.” Chrisley Knows Best airs Tuesdays at 10pm on USA.
