Daddy’s Home is a comedic film about two grown men who aggressively compete for the attention of two children. Will Ferrell plays Brad, the mild-mannered stepdad who’s genuinely winning the hearts of his step-kids until their freeloading, muscular, motorcycle riding father Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) arrives home for the holidays.
The guy who came up with the story and co-wrote the screenplay for Daddy’s Home is Brian Burns. He wrote for Mark Wahlberg’s hit TV series Entourage (2005-2007) and he continues to write for the hit TV cop drama Blue Bloods which stars Mark’s brother Donnie Wahlberg. Burns knows something about working with famous brothers. He is the brother of actor/director Edward Burns, who is married to model Christy Turlington. Brian is married to Christy’s sister Kelly Turlington Burns.
