Barry Gesser, ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ Playboy, Found Dead By Maid

Barry Gesser was one of Jordan Belfort’s friends. Belfort was the subject of the film The Wolf of Wall Street. Gesser served as a consultant for the Martin Scorsese film starring Leo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill.

Gesser lived a fast, dramatic life. He served three years’ probation (1999-2002) for stock fraud and racketeering plots, married model Stacey Alysson and then – two weeks later — was caught in bed with New York socialite Dori Cooperman. TMZ reports that Gesser was found dead in his West Hollywood home by his housekeeper. Local police authorities say there were no obvious signs of foul play or suicide. He was 52.
