Season 3 of Elementary didn’t end well for Sherlock Holmes (Jonnie Lee Miller). He suffered a heroin relapse, nearly killed a man, and “depending on the mood of the DA” will be sent to prison. Needless to say, Sherlock’s job with the NYPD has come to an end. Luckily Sherlock has his loyal business partner Watson (Lucy Liu) to help him turn it around but sometimes a man needs family assistance. In Season 4, we meet Sherlock’s estranged father, Morland, who tells his son: “You’ve made a mess. I’m here to fix it.” But will Sherlock accept his offer?
Morland Holmes is portrayed by John Noble. The Australian born actor is best known for his role as Denethor in the Lord of the Rings films. Americans will also recognize him from the TV shows Sleepy Hollow (Henry Parrish), Fringe (Dr. Walter Bishop), and 24 (Anatoly Markov). Elementary airs Thursdays at 10pm on CBS.
