But that’s not all the couple has to figure out. When Evan’s sister died, they took in her troubled teenage daughter Jamie (Allie Gonino). The preacher’s wife, Lauren Tanner, is portrayed by Tara Spencer-Nairn. The Canadian-born actress is best known for her roles on Degrassi: The Next Generation (Mrs. Baker), The Strain (Dr. Evanston), The Listener (Sandy Wardwell) and Corner Gas (Karen Pelly). According to Spencer-Nairm’s imdb profile, as a teenager she was expelled from the Crofton House School for kicking a hole in the wall and “calling the head mistress a bleep-ing bleep.” She later graduated from Shawnigan Lake School in British Columbia. The Preacher’s Sin will premiere on Lifetime on November 14 at 8pm. It will air again on November 15 at 12am and 1pm.
