In the Hallmark Channel TV movie Crown for Christmas, a New York City maid named Allie (Danica McKellar) gets fired one week before Christmas. Desperate for work, she takes a temp job as a governess. The little girl under her care is a European royality, Princess Theodora, daughter of Maximillion, King of Winshire (Rupert Penry-Jones). When the King and governess start to fall in love, the King’s fiancee Countess Celia, gets in the way.
