In the TV movie Angel of Christmas, copy editor Susan (Jennifer Finnigan) gets an opportunity to write a big headline story. Her editor Yvette gives Susan three weeks to write a personal holiday story. Susan finds a 100-year-old Christmas tree angel that was hand-carved by her own great-grandfather. Susan’s mother believes the magical family heirloom helps people find true love. While doing research for the article, Susan meets artist Brady (Jonathan Scarfe) and they fall in love.

Yvette is portrayed by Holly Robinson Peete. The Philadelphia native is best known for her roles on Mike & Molly (Christina), Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper (Vanessa Russell), and 21 Jump Street (Officer Judy Hoffs). Peete and her husband, former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete, recently appeared on an episode of Celebrity Wife Swap with comedienne Margaret Cho. Angel of Christmas premieres on the Hallmark Channel on November 29 at 8pm.
